A Step Back in Time..

Lets go back into time to Moonta sometime between 1910 to 1920. Moonta is a town located on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia, 165 kilometres north-northwest of the state capital of Adelaide. It is one of three towns known as the Copper Coast or "Little Cornwall" for their shared copper mining history. It is here where the Royal Adelaide Show is hosted. Lets take a peek at what the show spectators got to experience!

Lots of horses, ridden and performing in many different ways...

..lots of dignitaries..

Wheel barrow races...umm.. with horses??..WOW!

..A display of bacon??..

..prize Lincoln sheep..

..and contests for the best wool...

...and lots and lots of sidesaddle riding!

Looks like fun! The ladies' hats look like they're perched way up on the top of their hair, I wonder how they stay on!
