A Greek Statue..

.. in the Delphi Archaeological Museum depicts a male (verified by the clothing) riding this horse aside. At this angle there does not seem to be a saddle on the horse though. I have searched the Internet for more about this specific piece and come up empty.. but thought it was too interesting not to share it with you!

Well, you know what they say..If the world were a logical place, men would ride side saddle! LOL!

*grin* no kidding! I know that the Romans rode without saddles and were nekked beneath that lil' skirt. Can you imagine?! If they ever rode with saddles, they typically rode astride, but without stirrups.

Very cool statue, too bad there isn't more. So would it be logical to say men in kilts would also ride aside?
