That seems to be the single style force that catapulted Ralph Lauren into popularity...at least in my heart!
In the 1980's jackets with pelhams looked just like the early 1900's sidesaddle suit jackets..
..so much so that you could sometimes adapt this kind of jacket into a part of a sidesaddle costume.Here is a beautiful Hermes scarf that I would have loved to own...if the bidding for it had not gone WAY out of my price range on e-bay!

Have you ever looked at items on the site Etsy? They featured equestrian items a few days ago and there were some pretty little ditties..... the site is just called Etsy and it is all handmade and vintage items. Check it out. I like them better than eBay.
