I have this vision.. of having a collection of historical stirrups. Obviously, I really want an example of every single type of sidesaddle stirrup.. but would also love to own other works of art. If I had such a collection, I would take them with me to the horse shows and hang them from ribbons along the wall covered by my stall curtains so that people could come and learn a bit about our beloved way of riding. I would make elegant tags for each one with historical information attached. Here are a couple of beautiful works of art that I wanted to share with you!

No - sadly I do not own these. I wanted them along with about a hundred others I have come across, but have yet to win any of them off of E-bay. The above examples sold for over $300.00!
