Oh Well....

That about sums up my performance at the NTASHA show.  To make a long story short :

Qualifier class - First way went pretty well, but upon the opposite direction the bottom of my riding whip got caught in the stirrup (it was too long), the top of the whip was twisted in Sports massive mane.  In trying to get it fixed, I lost some of my reins and lost contact with his mouth.  Sport nosed up, I got nervous and it just got worse...

Championship class - 2 steps into the ring, it was clear there was a bug in Sport's ear (literally!).  He dodged his head and shook it most of the way around the arena.  Once it was clear, I know we had a much better ride, but what was done is done.  As one judging said at a judging clinic, many times the class is won upon how a horse enters the ring.

In both of these classes we placed 7th out of 8 horses.

We shall just chalk this up to being a learning experience.... right?  I mean you have to look at the bright side of it and that is what this show was for me!

Hey even your trainer has had some ups and downs with Sport, you will too. :)

At least you both looked gorgeous - I love your evening-look attire! I must say it's to see you astride, though. We are all used to the flowing skirts and riding aside. :-)
