An Antique Stirrup

About a year ago a very sweet sidesaddle enthusiast and blog reader sent me an antique sidesaddle stirrup. It is so unique and tiny that my big ole foot would not dare to fit into it! Ever since I received that gift, I have always paused when I find different examples of them, either in antique stores or on web sight and of coarse ...E-bay!

Here is one such stirrup that I wish was in my collection. Just look at the amazing details!!!

That is amazing! Can't find detail like that in more modern equipment.

I would venture a guess that little stirrup never saw much more action than a slow jog down Rotten Row!
