Due To My Strange Schedule This Week...

I am going to post a mish-mash of photos as eye-candy instead of concentrating on one subject! Today's entry is for a Victorian accessory that I adore.. a fur muff! Now, I know that a muff is not something one would use while riding aside...but somehow, I cannot imagine the perfect Victorian lady without one accenting her winter wardrobe!

This is my muff.

I made one of these years ago for myself..out of (are you ready??) a rabbit fur jacket that my daughter grew out of! I was shocked at how warm it keeps my hands!

One memory I have as a little girl is the white rabbit fur muff and little hat I was given by a family friend(she also gave me a gorgeous bride doll, and some other goodies-she never had any children). It was soooo soft and warm. I loved it dearly, have no idea what happenned to it.

A fur muff always seemed like a great accessory to me because my hands are always cold. Unfortunately, when I am outdoors I am either driving, doing chores, or else gesticulating wildly as I tell a joke. So I guess my colorful mittens suffice. Do you have a pic of the muff you made?
