Now - just for laughs...

I believe the lady who created Tacky Tack of the Day comes and visits sometimes...so here is a picture for you to take over to your blog! I have never seen a sidesaddle that I thought was tacky..until I saw this one! gag...choke...gag.. ha ha .. I have seen many poorly built sidesaddles, or sidesaddles created of astride saddles that were disasters...but this one is just ... well you get the gist of it!

Tacky here. Now I LOVE some of Skyhorse Saddlery's work, but dang, this one sure is gaudy. Super quality, but painful on the eyes.

Got me a side saddle, mosey over to Tacky Tack of the Day to check it out!

My STUPID work computer will not allow me to leave a message on your blog! GRRRRRR! Scaequestrian...I am so thrilled for you. I saw your pictures and read about your first ride. Does your right thigh hurt today? Also saw your funny Dad trying it out...now I know where you got your sense of humor!

I love your blog BTW - just cannot leave comments on it! dumb computer...

ha ha - sidesaddle girl.. I think the thing that pushed me over the edge was a big horse shoe that says "good luck"!

I have to say, except for the horse head and horse shoe, I think it's pretty.

I don't know Julie, I think I could do with all the extra "Good Luck" I could get! LOL! :-)

ROTFLMAO... Okay - now you KNOW that I am the Queen of Last Place Ribbons...so if anyone needs to carry a good luck horse shoe - yeah - that would be me!!! ...but come-on... I am okay with the roses ..I am sort of okay with the horse head... but that shoe..nope - that is where I have to draw the line. I can just see me going around the arena (
Western attire) and a judge or spectator squinting their eyes trying to see what is written on the off side of my saddle...ha hah....

I already do enough to have people laughing at me...don't need any help in that department!! ha hah..

Julie, no my thigh does not hurt, my left seatbone is a bit sore and my back muscles from the different position, but I have back issues anyway and I WAY overdid it for the first ride. I was just having SO MUCH FUN I couldn't stop.

Thank you, Julie, for the giveaway and I am so happy to win it! I am soooo glad that saddle is not one; I would NOT enter. I love reading Tacky. So many awesomely awful stuff there. Ewwwwww! I sent you an e-mail with my address.

The roses are okay but as others have said, the lucky horseshoe just does not belong!

Congrats Phaedra!

I kind of like it. Reminds me of a Mexican Show Saddle or something from Argentina.
Do you know the history of this saddle? Could it have been used as a racing saddle? Might explain the good luck?
lol!

Funny thing about it, it is not a cheap saddle. These probably run about 5-6000 or more! It's all hand tooled, and dyed...that said, it's a bit over the top for me :)
