So sorry thought I had done that MUCH earlier. Yes - I just learned of Toby's death and cannot understand why no one told me earlier. I knew Toby quite well when she lived in Washington. She was an amazing rider, sidesaddle OR cross saddle. I hope her horses found forever homes, that is something we all don't think about enough is providing for our horses in the event something happens to us (well maybe I do because I have done a lot of paralegal work in estate planning!). I also occasionally post to the Saddlebred Rescue Forum and as I have recently adopted a PMU draft gelding and he is so amazingly different than anything I've ever had, I will be starting a blog! In fact, just bought "Blogging for Dummies" to get myself started.
If you're looking for deeper info on historical garment construction try hooking up with the French hand-sewing folks. Those people are amazingly knowledgeable esp. about cut, line, finishing and antique fabrics.
Careful! This antique SS habit study thing is quite addicting!
