My Father..

..passed away tonight. As sad as I feel - I know he is hugging my Mother and smiling.

Deep down I know my Dad wanted me to 'out grow' my love of horses and riding. Around the age of 40 (my age) he gave up the fight and started to come and see me show. He watched me win a first place ribbon on Ivan in adult equitation and he came to see me show Oliver sidesaddle early on...and he was the one to give up and cheer me on.

I love you Dadddy. Thank you for adopting me and making me your very own. I will miss you...but know that one day I will again get to see you and Mom.

    I was adopted, too. I have to believe the time you had together was "chosen" just for you. Time spent apart is only temporary.
