I found these beautiful gift tags on E-bay right before Christmas I believe. Aren't they just lovely? I love plaid too. When I see things like this though, my mind starts to wander and think of all the things that can be made with sidesaddle art!
If you have read my blog for any length of time, you know that I like decoupage. Here are a couple of things I made:
The wardrobe is bolted into the dressing room of my horse trailer! Hey - it needed a bit of up-classing!
I love what you did with that wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteAnd your post reminded me...I have an antique floor lamp with a very old (much patched) lampshade with foxhunting scenes on it. I was just looking at it the other day and went, "that person is riding sidesaddle! I should take a picture of it and share it!" So I will have to do that tonight. I was toying already with the idea of taking the lamp shade apart (it's just like...cardboard panels on a wire frame) and using the panels to do some kind of art project as someone patched it together with scotch tape and that isn't terribly attractive. I suppose if I found a decent heat-resistant glue, I might be able to put it together more invisibly but the idea of an art project is rather appealing.
I am so curious about your style of riding... How do you not die?
ReplyDeleteTa da, here's the pictures I was talking about:
