Have you ever heard of Bloggies . com?
It is a web sight that people can go to nominate their favorite blogs..in different categories - like:
Best Asian blog
Best travel blog
Best humorous blog
Best photography blog..
okay - so you get the idea - right?
Well not one of the blogs nominated in ANY category is a Horse blog! Something is just NOT right about that!!! Even in the Best Sports Blog - Nope-Nada-Nothing about horses!
I like to go to that sight to see new up and coming blogs. The web address is:
http://2010.bloggies.com/
if you would like to take a peek for yourself.
Next year ladies - we need to get some horsey blogs nominated on that sight!
Okay - stepping down off of my stool now...
I agree. I read tons of blogs and subcribe to a few. Almost all are horse-related. We need to start a letter campaign.....
ReplyDeleteHorses are not generally considered mainstream so that's probably why they are not in the top blog lists.
ReplyDeleteHowever, why not have a category for best horse blog/website, huh?
I've heard about it, because some of the bigger sites I read (home decor, etc) have been nominated. But I agree, a horsey site should be nominated, but maybe they are more "specific" and less general, and that is why? But like FV suggested, they could have an animal/pet blog cateory! :)
ReplyDeleteMost of the blog nominated and I mean a LARGE percentage of them are food related. 2 out of the 5 blogs nominated under Sports are for Cycling! Could have knocked me over with a feather! Is cycling REALLY more popular than horses? No way - can't believe it!
ReplyDeleteI went to the site and posted a question about, why aren't there any horse blogs listed. I haven't received an answer, hope I hear something!
ReplyDeleteI think the horse blogs should be recognized because there are a lot of them out there.
My big dog decided that the web needed a dog penned blog ~ copied from my sister's dogs! Get Oliver to write hisown blog to complement yours
