This beautiful sidesaddle rider is wearing the traditional taller top hat.
When I compete on my Saddlebred, I will wear the lower top hat shown in the first picture.

Very interesting. I've always been interested in side saddle but don't think I would try it at this stage of the game. Good luck in this discipline.
I grew up a cowgirl and always wanted to ride English. Now, I've learned to do that. My next project is sidesaddle.
Also, I'd love to try Saddlebred. I've always ridden quarter horses and thoroughbreds.
