With that in mind, I have come across many many equestrian decor pictures.... from the cheap ... to what I consider (for me anyway) to be way over the top!
Lets start with the laugh out loud cheap: This would be so funny at a barn though!!
...but here are a few things I just LOVE!! If I could find this - I would buy it for our home.
An elegant forged iron door knocker
..and who wants a boring door stop in your house when you could have this?
..and don't we all need a trophy room?
..and we actually did incorporate a curved stair landing railing like this one
Now - I want to show you a few pictures of what I consider to be over the top. Before though - I want to make sure you understand that I am not saying that these next things are not beautiful - just too extreme for my taste!
..Okay - so I really do think I could include this table in our library. Can you imagine the laughs and comments from your friends?
I am going to guess that maybe the same artist that made the banister - also may have created this.
...and okay - I love the horse head andirons... but there is something creepy (to me) about the hooves!

what does it say about my taste when I could see both the halter flowerpot hanger and the carved rearing horse banister somewhere on my place?

there are lots of blacksmiths (I'm not talking about farriers) in Texas. One of them should be able to make a fox door handle. I would think that you might be up for something more Saddlebred related.
My nephew is a blacksmith in the Boston area, He works with his clients to make decorative and functional items for the house. Dragon shaped strap hinges are a popular item.
Perhaps a head and neck of a saddlebred as the door handle,,,
I do so wish you would post links to these great pieces and give credit to their creators. You find such lovely pieces, I would love to see more of these artists works.
