I am a sidesa...Oh, to me you are a serious expert. I am a sidesaddle wan-a-be who chanced on a loaner side saddle to try. I was confused about the extra straps. Managed to attach the saddle to my big-ol-appy and walked to the mounting block. Managed to get on - astride and then got both legs aside. OH MY. and we were standing STILL. My horse is used to direction with both legs and he really would rather stand to be admired. So, moving off was interesting and felt very precarious. I can't imaging a trot or canter - never mind jumping. Clearly, I need some lessons and an experienced friend to emulate.... Know anyone in OK?
